Tuesday October 14  Crafters meet from 10 to 12.

Wednesday October 15- Pickin Session 1-3 pm- come enjoy some fun music- bring a snack to share.

Thursday, October 16

Stretch & Flex Class 10:30 to 11:15 – Carol Moll, Instructor

Split the Pot Tickets on sale until 11:30 am at front desk. See Janet     Welcome, Becky Higley.   

Pizza- Must have previously purchased ticket.  

Gather and Dine menu is Chicken with Apple Cream Sauce, Brown Rice Pilaf, Butternut Squash, w/ Roll, and Mandurian Oranges.  To sign up call before 1 pm on Wed,  518-363-4020.  Just a quick reminder, no one is allowed in the kitchen without permission during food prep or service.  

General Meeting begins at 12:30. 

Membership for 2026 may now be prepaid.  See Lisa at the front table. 

Friday, October 10- Exercise class meets from 11:15 to 12:00- Alison Bodle Instructor 

Donations for Food Pantry-  Items for the local food pantries can be placed in the clear bin at the raffle ticket table.  Please no outdated food. 

Ill & Deceased- Please let us know of any member who has a health issue or has passed, so we can send a card or a memorial.   Contact Linda Elmer at 518-885-4839 or email her at lle1202@yahoo.com.

Special Events- Time to start planning your costume for the Halloween costume contest on October 30.  Categories are scariest, funniest, prettiest and most unusual.   

Trip Committee -  the Nutcracker Production at the Paramount Theater is a children’s production, so the decision was made not to attend.   We are booked for Beardsley Castle for a murder mystery lunch in April, and for Lake George Steamboat Mardi Gras for July 8, 2025.   

Newsletter- If you have any items for the upcoming newsletter please email them to Alison Bodle.  She is looking for memories, recipes or jokes and especially for pictures from the bazaar. Her email is alisonbodle22@gmail.com.

Upcoming Elections- This year the membership will be voting for President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Officer, and two directors.   Members may run for office after 1 year of membership.   

Starting on October 16, letters of intent stating why you would like to run and your qualifications will be accepted.  Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Officer have special requirements to fill and a job description will be available.  Letters may be delivered to any member of the nominating committee:  Alison Bodle, Sue Heimburg, Bernadette Putnam, Sally Snyder and Madeline Waller.  They may also be mailed to BASC, Nominating Committee, 310 Northline Rd, Ballston Spa, NY 12020. Letters will be accepted until November 13 and any nominations from the floor will be accepted that day.   The following week, November 20, candidates will read their letter of intent to the membership.  Voting will be on December 4 from 9 am to 11 am.  

On Thursday, October 23, the Chorus will entertain us with a program featuring  American Folk Songs. 

On Friday, November 14 at  2 pm, a paint and sip class will be held.  It will be painting holiday themed glassware and vases.  For more information or to sign up see Alison Bodle. Class fee is $15 and is due when signing up. 

Facebook update- Due to being unable to access the previous Facebook page, we now have a new Facebook page- It is Ballston Area Senior Citizens.   It will be updated on a regular basis so please like our new page.
